In the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting tragedy, Democrats are determined to create new hurdles to gun ownership. Thankfully their attempted legislation failed, but even before all this started, gun sales have been through the roof with ammunition nearly impossible to obtain. Many Americans, fearing they may lose their right to own a gun, are now choosing to buy guns and learn how to use them. Please join the Clark County Republican Women and our featured speaker Allen Campbell and learn about the current rules and regulations surrounding gun ownership. Find out what is required to obtain a concealed carry permit. If you’re already a seasoned gun owner or if you’re just thinking about getting one, come learn from the expert! This is your official invitation to the ribbon cutting event on Saturday, May 11, 2013 to celebrate the return of the Crossett Western #10 steam locomotive. County Commissioner Tom Mielke will join you in the actual ribbon cutting. The event will take place at the station in Yacolt at 11:30 AM. This is an exciting time for us since the steam engine has been out of service for about the past 4 years and we are looking forward to a wonderful excursion season. From 1 to 5 PM, you are invited to come on out, “forget your worries and what life sometimes throws at you, and remember a time when life was easier” and enjoy a California Dreamin’ Burger, a Lucy Grilled Cheese or even a Graceland Special, a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich.
