Republican Women is a national grassroots political organization with about 1,800 unit clubs in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. With 100,000 members, the National Federation of Republican Women is one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. A woman becomes a member by joining her local club or through a National Associate membership. Members of a local club are also granted membership in their state Federation. State Federations are chartered under the auspices of the NFRW but operate under their own bylaws.
In support of the Party, the Republican Women use their resources to:
• Elect Republican candidates to public office
• Train campaign leaders and volunteers
• Recruit and train for public office and other leadership roles
• Educate members on legislative issues
• Promote the principles and policies of the Republican Party
In working toward these goals, Republican Women concentrate their efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising and legislative action.
Former Congresswoman Linda Smith founded the Clark County Republican Women in 1986.
